Healthy Smiles

The Healthy Smiles Program provides gap coverage for urgent dental needs for families with children who are uninsured or underinsured. Families receive assistance with scheduling an appointment or referral to a dentist within Alameda County for preventive care or dental treatment needs at no cost. Office of Dental Health staff assess the urgency of the dental need, the child’s insurance status, income requirements and the age of the child to determine program eligibility.
