Announcing Our New Oral Health Strategic Plan 2019-2024!

The Oral Health Strategic Plan 2025–2030 report reflects extensive collaboration and input from the community and key partners and builds on the successes and lessons learned from previous strategic plans. It provides a clear blueprint for coordinated action to improve oral health in Alameda County.
Guided by this plan, our oral health efforts will focus on:
Access to Care
Communication and Education
Integration of Oral Health in Medical Care and Social Services
Oral Health Workforce Development
Policy and Expanded Funding and Resources
Oral Health Committee

Established in 2012, the Oral Health Committee of the Alameda County Public Health Commission provides oversight of the implementation, prioritization and quality assurance of the Strategic Plan on Oral Health. The committee is comprised of select Public Health Commissioners, dental health professionals, medical professionals, and oral health advocates who have the expertise and interest in advocating for policies that promote dental health.

Community of Practice Curriculum: Continuing Education Trainings for Dental Care Providers

This training curriculum can be used by any organization or institution wishing to provide continuing education to dental providers or build the capacity of dental providers to serve dental patients of different ages. It was developed by the Office of Dental Health (ODH) in collaboration with the Pediatric Dentistry Division of the University of California San Francisco (UCSF) School of Dentistry.
